Ingredients
9" Pie Shell, unbaked
6 slices Bacon
1 1/2 cups shredded Swiss Cheese
4 Eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup Heavy Cream
1 cup Whole Milk (2% will work in this)
1 Tablespoon Flour
Ground Nutmeg, to taste
Cayenne Pepper, to taste
1 medium onion, finely diced or thinly sliced
Black Pepper, to taste
Bake pie shell at 400º for 10 minutes.
Fry bacon until crips and drain on a paper towel lined plate.
Sauté onion in the bacon fat until translucent.
Overlap bacon and cheese to cover the bottom of the baked pie crust. Add onion.
In a separate bowl, combine eggs, cream, milk, flour, and a pinch of nutmeg, cayenne and black pepper. Pour over bacon, cheese, and onions.
Back for 15 minutes at 400º. Lower heat to 325º and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
Cool slightly before serving.
